he WOPR is a result of a special request from artist and friend Oli Brown (Oli Brown and the Dead Collective, formerly of Raveneye). Initially, Oli wanted a combination of the Fallout Cloud and the silicon Rangemaster-inspired circuit from the Veteran. The result was a massive-sounding pedal that Oli has been using for years.
Taking this concept further, we created the WOPR. This pedal replaces the Fallout Cloud with a new circuit based on the same concept but with increased aggression and sizzle. Paired with the Rangemaster circuit, the WOPR delivers an intense and devastating sonic experience. The name WOPR pays homage to the AI supercomputer from the film WarGames, offering a choice between Noughts and Crosses/Tic-Tac-Toe or Global Thermonuclear War.
We haven’t done any demos of this pedal because it’s too risky to unleash its power on YouTube. If you believe you can handle it, give it a try. If not, we understand—this pedal is truly vicious.
Specifications:
- Size: (W) 100mm x (L) 125mm x (H) 53mm (top of knobs)
- Current Draw: 30mA
Internally, the WOPR is meticulously built using premium 1% metal film resistors, WIMA and Panasonic capacitors, and Neutrik jacks. Combined with a robust gold-plated PCB and dust-sealed potentiometers, this pedal represents the pinnacle of electronic craftsmanship.
