The Fat General MKII

The Fat General MKII is an evolution of the critically acclaimed OTC-201 compressor, a collaboration between ThorpyFX and the original designer, Dan Coggins, to deliver the next level of compression for guitarists. Unlike many other compressors, the Fat General MKII adds sustain and balance to your signal without unnecessary noise or signal “pumping.” You'll also notice that the Fat General MKII can be particularly transparent while adding a sparkle and clarity that you might have been missing. For many, it becomes an "always on" pedal, one that’s hard to play without.

Beyond its exceptional sonic qualities, the Fat General MKII is built like a tank, featuring recessed knobs and top-mounted jacks for durability without sacrificing aesthetics. The pedal boasts a combination of a beautiful stainless steel laser-etched center console, all wrapped in a tough anodized aluminum black enclosure.

Internally, the Fat General MKII offers premium sound, enhanced through high-quality components housed in a meticulously engineered custom enclosure. While sonically identical to the V1, the V2 version features a more durable anodized aluminum black enclosure.
